Well, it was too good(?) to be true, but the big presidential(?) debate is off. EURWeb is reporting:
There will be no televised showdown between rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent over whose upcoming album, both due on Sept. 11, is the hottest.
West has reportedly turned down an offer by BET’s “106 & Park” hosts Terrance and Rosci to face off with 50 in a live presidential-style debate to determine whose album is better. 50 announced he would be willing to defend his forthcoming album, “Curtis,” against West’s “Graduation” in the proposed challenge.
But Kanye is calling the whole idea ridiculous.“What am I going to debate about? I’m going to go in the studio and make music,” he said Tuesday at the MTV Video Music Nominations. “When I heard that thing about the debate, I thought that was the stupidest thing. When my albums drops and 50′s album drops, you’re gonna get a lot of good music at the same time.”
Well this is terrible news! How will we ever know who has the best album? I guess we’ll find out after the first week’s sales, huh? Now back to your regularly scheduled programs…
