Common’s new film, Terminator Salvation brought in $43 million over the past weekend, coming in second behind Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian’s $53.5 million.
I saw Terminator on Monday and thought that it was much better than the initial reviews that were coming in last week. The story line was intact and not too confusing (time travel always brings in some element of confusion but it was handled well here). Action sequences were handle well. I think that overall the acting in the film was OK, I mean nobody’s getting any nominations for it (Oscars or Razzies). It’s a summer action flick, what more do you expect?
I think Common could’ve done a little better job with the small role that he had. I really just didn’t believe him as Connor’s right hand man Barnes. For the most part, it just seemed like Common dressed up in some post-apocalyptic army gear, acting out the part, but not becoming Barnes. I think he has time to improve though and with the amount of roles he’s being offered he has plenty of chances.
Overall, I give Terminator Salvation a B. It’s worth droppin’ the A. Hamilton on to fulfil your summer action fix.

He’ll get better with time. If he get his acting skill parallel to his writing skill, He’ll shine for sure. He’s mad intelligent.
