Wu-Tang producer/emcee RZA will be co-starring in the upcoming comedy Funny People which is set to hit theaters on July 31. The film, directed by Judd Apatow, also stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Leslie Mann.
The film is about a very successful stand up comedian (Sandler) who learns that he has an untreatable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live.
At a red carpet interview for the premier of Funny People, RZA tells MTV:
“[The Apatow] style of comedy is like hip-hop. Seth and those guys are Wu-Tang fans; we talked a lot about hip-hop. He knows a lot of lyrics.”
