Yes you read it right, Tuspock. Jimmy Fallon has taken on aspects of Hip-Hop culture as part of his late night flavor much like Arsenio Hall did when his late night show was on the air. Starting off with The Roots as his house band that, not only plays music, but also participates in a variety of comedy skits. One of the fans favorites is when they “Slow Jam the News”. Second, since Fallon has had Soldier Boy on the show he is holding a contest for a lucky fan to come up with a dance called “The Late Night” in celebration of his show and the winner wins a free trip to NY to perform the show live.
But what struck us the most here at fhh is his new character TuSpock, which is a combination of Tupac Shakur and Spock from Star Trek. In full costume he performs a song called “Illogical” with guest star Tariq/Black Thought from The Roots playing Captain Kirk. Fallon shows his rap skills aren’t too bad. It’s good to see mainstream shows like his incorporating Hip-Hop cultures in different aspects of his show. Check out the video, have a good laugh and tell us what you think.
