Could Common be the Green Lantern?
Cinematical is reporting that Common has been called in to audition for the role of the Green Lantern in the upcooming Justice League of America film slated for a 2010 release (boy is he staying busy!).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, director George Miller flew in from his home in Australia over the weekend to check out 35-40 young actors who were brought in to test for roles like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter.
I think this would be a good move for Common. So far he has done a great job being casted in crime dramas Smoking Aces, American Gangster, The Night Watchman and Wanted, but it would be good to see him in a different type film such as Justice League of America.
