CBS announced it has ordered a pilot for LL Cool J’s television drama “The Man,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. As previously reported, the rapper stars as an undercover Los Angeles cop who juggles his job while developing a father-like relationship with a boy orphaned after one of his drug busts. The script was written by “CSI” creator Anthony Zuiker.

This will be a big move for Cool James.  After starting off with the successful small screen sitcom “In the House”, LL has had a decent film career.  “The Man” sounds like a role that he is quite capable of pulling off.
