Looks like Puff Daddy/P. Piddy/Diddy/Bad Boy Sean Combs is ready to take his entertainment mogulism to VH1 with the debut of his new series I Want to Work for Diddy. He’s adding to his already successful television resume, which includes his executive produced MTV programs Making The Band and Run’s House.
According to SOHH,
I Want to Work for Diddy is an apprentice type show where contestants compete to be the mogul’s personal assistant. The concept for the show was born after Diddy’s failed attempts at the standard recruitment process. To jumpstart the competition Diddy informed the media that he was accepting applicants.
Well Diddy’s Apprentice… I mean I Want to Work for Diddy premieres Monday, August 4 at 9 pm on VH1. A new season of Making the Band 4 will return to MTV on August 13.

It seems like Flavor Flav can’t be stopped. He is starring in a new half-hour comedy series on MyNetworkTV, the network’s first (hmmm… And how long has it taken BET? 25+ years??).
The show is called Under One Roof and Flav plays Calvester Hill, a former convict who moves in with his wealthy, conservative brother, Walter (Kelly Perine). Calvester turns the Hill family’s life upside down, parading his old prison cronies through the house, teaching his nephew to be a gangsta rapper and butting heads with Walter’s snooty wife.
OK, I guess we’ll see if his past run-ins with the law will pay off. Flav’s other show, Flavor of Love premieres with its 3rd season this Monday at 9:00 pm on VH1.

Well, it looks like everybody’s favorite hip hip media mogul is getting ready to have another realty show, this time on VH1. Diddy will be searching for an assistant in this Apprentice-like reality show. He already has Making the Band 4 currently running on MTV. SOHH reports:
The reality show will track the 20 finalists as they “compete to win the job of a lifetime,” according to the contest’s website. Contestants must be at least 21 years old, have a “whatever it takes attitude” and be on call 24/7.
Though no further information is available as far as the parameters of the position it is fair to assume that it will be a very demanding one. Diddy has made a name for himself as being a tough guy to work for.
Open calls will be held in New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Boston and Miami. The competition is not limited to residents in these cities though. The nationwide competition is also accepting video submissions of candidates telling why they’re the best person for the job.If you think you have what it takes to be on the show go to workforpdiddy.com to find out more info.

P Diddy’s MTV show Making the Band 4 is coming back for another season on January 28 at 10 pm. This season the show will feature last season’s ‘man band’ and solo artist Donnie with Season 2’s Danity Kane girl group. They will be sharing the same house in Miami, which I’m sure will lead to shenanigans never seen before on MTV (joking of course).
Look, Diddy is a smart businessman and I’m sure this will help boost sells of both groups, but we’ll see if people are really still interested in following these groups around as they make their respective albums. I’ll catch a few episodes when they run the inevitable Saturday MTB4 marathon.
Check out a preview of the upcoming season after the jump.

Jumping into the ever expanding world of reality TV, Snoop Dogg gave fans an inside look into his family life with the premiere of his new show “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood” this past Sunday.
During the show Snoop got upset because his housekeeper quit, visited the doctor (he’s scared of needles), took a yoga class with his burly bodyguard, ran from the acupuncture office (once again, he’s scared of needles), and finally calmed his nerves by vacuuming his messing house.
Typical celebrity reality show fare, nothing new. Be sure to catch it on Sunday nights at 10:30 p.m. on E!

XXLmag.com is reporting that emcee KRS-One is set to appear on the new season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club. In the shows first five seasons, other emcees have appeared including Biz Markie, Bonecrusher, Bizarre, Young MC, Warren G and Da Brat.
Details of the new sixth season still remain unclear, but a VH1 rep confirmed that the Bronx-bred rapper will be a part of the new cast.
I guess KRS, the vegetarian that rapped about “Beef” on 1990’s CD Edutainment, must’ve been dippin into the veggies a little too much.

EURweb is reporting that rapper Ludacris will be one of the guest lecturers substituting for a real university professor in the MTV series Stand In, which invites artist to take command of a college course.
According to MTV, “Ludacris will surprise a college classroom, stand-in for a professor and take students out of their books for a chance to learn from those making history today.”
Should be interesting. I can see it now, every college student in the country, hoping and anticipating, sitting in their mundane American History course, that young Luda will appear from behind the chalkboard, pushing the professor, and yelling “Move… Get out the way!” Haha.
Oh well, I wish Das Efx would’ve run through my boring Calculus class back in the day… “Bum, stickity, bum, stickity, bum hum.” Lol.
Anyway, the show will air this fall after the new series premieres in October on MTV.
