American Gangster tops at the Box Office
The Ridley Scott directed American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Common, T.I., and RZA came in #1 at the box office this past weekend, and became the highest grossing R-rated crime drama in history. The film brought in $46.3 million, beating 2nd place Bee Movie which finished with $39.3 million. It’s the best opening for both Crowe and Washington, as well as the highest opener of the fall to date.
